“Varsity” Golf Team
(Ages 8-14)
The registration fee of $400, includes a season pass providing players with unlimited use of the golf course, driving range, and short-game area, practice sessions, participation in Saturday golf matches, and Summer “Play Days”.
Team Practices
Practices are held after school and will begin on Monday April 27th. Players will choose to either practice on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday nights from 5:30-7:00. Players will meet each and every week that same night for 5 consecutive weeks. If a practice is cancelled, we will make up that practice in June.
Season Golf, Range & Short-Game Passes
Each team member will receive unlimited golf, range balls and access to the Short-Game area for the entire calendar year for which they have registered. Players are required to check-in prior to the use of each facility. Upon check-in players will receive permission to head to the first tee, a code for the range ball dispenser, and approval to use the short-game area.
Saturday Golf Matches
Starting in May and running into October, each Varsity golf team member will be eligible to participate in what turns out to be approximately 15 Saturday morning matches. Players will be paired with similarly skilled teammates in a quasi-competitive best position format match. This format allows players, regardless of ability, to participate and contribute. A schedule of Saturday Match dates will be emailed to you prior to May 1st.
Play Days
Play Days are held on Wednesdays duding the summer months after the school year has ended. They are optional for players on the Varsity team, however, we encourage our Varsity players to attend. This offers youths another chance to put into action the physical cue’s and mental imagery they’ve worked on in practice. Plus, its just fun to get on the course and experience the joy of golf with others of similar skill level and/or age.
